Mary Therese O’Brian comes to Newmark Associates as an accomplished sales and marketing executive with over twenty years of success in strategic growth, business development and team building. As a former Director of Sales with ALM Media, LexisNexis, and Thomson Reuters, she created innovative content marketing strategies for legal and other professional service organizations, utilizing emerging technology to generate leads, acquire customers and build their brands. As head of Real Estate for NJ Advance Media, Therese worked with brokers, developers and property owners to create multi-media marketing campaigns promoting residential and commercial properties; often resulting in rapid lease-ups and multiple purchase offers for her clients.

Throughout her career, Therese has earned a reputation as a creative problem solver and innovative leader. She’s an artful leader bringing imagination and creativity to each negotiation. In addition to her real estate experience, her experience and industry connections in legal circles as well as those in manufacturing from her time as a top producer with Thomas Publishing reveals knowledge about the needs of several key industries that require the best real estate solutions.

Therese studied Marketing at the University of Notre Dame, earned a BS in Marketing from Thomas Edison State College and a mini-MBA in Digital Marketing from Rutgers University Business School.

Therese resides in Union County, NJ with her husband, and together they have six adult children. She enjoys domestic and international travel, exploring diverse cultures, and cooking. An avid fitness buff, she pursues cycling, cardio, barre, yoga and paddle boarding.
